Robert Reich uses 'D' word -- can it be? In an interview with Arlyn Dajilan of Newsweek, Reich actually uttered that ill-fated word -- Depression. When asked if Americans can expect another rate cut at the Fed meeting next week, Reich said "Yes." He went on to say that, "... while lowering rates may cause inflation, it is far less threatening now than a recession or perhaps -- and I cringe at using the word -- a depression."

Folks at Hewitt Associates may be depressed Thursday as the Enron Creditors Recovery Corp filed motions before U.S. District Court Judge Melinda Harmon to ensure Hewitt upholds its commitment to cover shortfalls in funds allocated on behalf of fund claimants. Hewitt acknowledge the shortfalls in July 2007 which were due to mistakes made at Hewitt.

"After months of delay, and at a time when the Savings Plan is poised to send corrected allocations to participants, Hewitt has once again failed to live up to its commitment to fully fund the shortfall it created," said President and Chairman of the Board of Enron Creditors Recovery Corp, John Ray III.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ: DNDN) traded at $6.24 early Thursday, a decrease of $0.05 or 0.79% on a trading volume of 505,628: not far above the 52 week low of $3.57 but significantly lower than the high of $25.25. On January 15th Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ: DNDN) announced that the company has been granted a broad European patent covering the company's lead product candidate PROVENGE® (sipuleucel-T), the Company's investigational active cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer.

Beasley Broadcast Group (NASDAQ: BBGI) traded at $4.68 in early trading Thursday. This is up $0.16 or 3.54% on a volume of 200 slightly higher than the 52-week low of $4.02. In a research note published Jan 22 (newratings.com) analysts made note of Genitope's weak cash position and maintained their 'sell' rating. Target price for Genitope stock was reduced to $0.25.
