Goji Adds Erin Barriere as Vice President of Human Resources to Support Accelerating Growth

Seasoned HR Leader to Help Drive Talent Acquisition

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Sep 14, 2015) - Goji, the nation's largest online, independent auto insurance agency, announced the appointment of Erin Barriere as Vice President of Human Resources. With aggressive growth plans, Goji continues to transform the consumer's auto insurance shopping experience and drive customer acquisition for its national insurance carrier partners. Barriere will oversee all efforts to attract, hire, develop and retain the best talent for Goji's immediate expansion plans, including the opening of a new office in Hudson, MA.

The firm's leadership is committed to attracting and cultivating the insurance industry's best agents. "Goji is changing an industry; it's time for consumers to have more control and transparency when buying auto insurance. We strive to provide unmatched value to consumers and insurance carriers by making the best choice refreshingly clear. As such, we need the industry's best people on our team to continue to advance our technology platform and provide friendly, expert support for consumers and carriers alike," said Goji CEO Steve Kezirian. "Erin is a seasoned insurance industry and HR pro, and we are confident she will help us cultivate Goji's greatest asset -- our people."

Prior to joining Goji, Barriere spent five years serving in executive human resources and talent acquisition roles at top insurance leaders including USI Insurance Services and Marsh and McLennan Companies. Previously, Barriere dedicated more than a decade to HR efforts at Monster.com, serving as Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition and Human Resources before her departure. With a focus on talent acquisition to support strategic company growth, Barriere will be utilizing her past experience to develop and grow Goji's insurance talent.

Goji's Vice President of Carrier Relations, Daniel Weaver, further explained the importance of Barriere's addition: "Goji is focused on helping insurance carrier partners reach new, internet-savvy policyholders. Erin's efforts to hire and retain great talent will supplement these efforts, and ultimately deliver long-term value for our consumers and our carrier partners."

For Barriere, the work begins with an important corporate expansion: opening Goji's new facility in Hudson, Massachusetts. The office, located at 2 Cabot Road, will be home to many of Goji's licensed insurance agents, along with new additions to the technology and management teams.

"I chose Goji because I believe in what the company is doing and am excited to support the leadership team's plan to considerably grow our talent pool. Given recent investments in our offices in Boston's Back Bay and now in Hudson, Goji is well positioned to attract great people from around the region," added Barriere.

Barriere graduated from Johnson and Wales University and is also the President and Founder of Five Helping Hands, an organization formed in 2014 to encourage volunteerism and giving for all ages.
