Golden Gate University Appoints New VP for Finance & Administration

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - July 27, 2016) - Golden Gate University (GGU) announces the appointment of Bill Lee as its Vice President for Finance & Administration, effective July 1.

Lee brings to GGU nearly 20 years of multinational corporate experience, having served as a country chief financial officer (CFO) for Citibank-Asia and as a co-chief financial officer and senior vice president at Visa International. For the past five years, he has held CFO positions at two Bay Area nonprofit organizations: the East Meets West Foundation and Meals on Wheels of San Francisco.

"I believe Bill's experience in both the public and private sectors is a strong match for our goals to keep growing as a nonprofit university in today's highly competitive educational environment. His forward-thinking leadership style supports our mission to continue providing the Bay Area's working professionals with a high-quality but accessible career-focused education," said GGU President Dr. David J. Fike.

In his new role, Lee oversees the Offices of the Controller and Student Accounting Services, Business Services & Facilities, as well as GGU's financial operations, legal matters and investments. His deep experience in financial planning and analysis will serve GGU well as the institution embarks on strategies to innovate and grow enrollment in new educational program offerings.

Lee succeeds VP of Business Affairs and CFO Robert Hite, who retired from GGU in April after eight years of service. He reports directly to President Fike.
