Golden Share Provides an Update on Its Spring 2010 Exploration Program

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 25, 2010) - Golden Share Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:GSH) is pleased to report its field season started early and first phase surface reconnaissance programs have now been executed on the two recently acquired properties, Lutetium and Vent d'Or.

Lutetium property

The property is located in the Maniwaki area, 100 km north of Ottawa, and historical REE mineralization is reported over an area of 1,000 m by 300 m with grades of up to 1.32% Total Rare Earth Elements ("TREE"). Important heavy rare metals ("HREE"), Lutetium and Samarium, were reported with grades of up to 87.6 ppm (g/t) and 618 ppm (g/t) respectively.

The recent campaign consisted in geological mapping and outcrop radiometric measurements targeting the REE anomaly. A total of 112 km of field traverses were executed and outcrops reporting anomalous radiometric measurements were sampled. The REE anomaly appears to be associated with a north-south trending pink granite. Samples are presently at the laboratory for analysis.

Vent d'Or property

The property is located 40 km south of the city of Chibougamau on strike with the Joe Mann gold mine (past production of 1.2 Moz Au between 1955 and 2005). Eagle Hill Exploration Corp. (TSXV:EAG) recently reported a drill intersection of 14.2 g/t Au over 52 m on their Windfall property located in a similar geological context 70 km to the south-west of Golden Share's Vent d'Or property. The Vent d'Or shear zone, a 10 m wide structure with surface grab samples of up to 10.10 g/t Au, was recently outlined on Golden Share's property.

A ground magnetic survey was executed in March 2010 and highlighted the Vent d'Or shear zone as an east-west trending positive magnetic anomaly. During the recent geological mapping and prospecting campaign an important shearing system associated with the magnetic anomaly and the presence of north-east trending secondary systems was identified. A ground VLF survey was executed in the area of historical drilling. A total of 136 km of field traverses were executed and all samples are presently at the laboratory for analysis.

Compilations are currently in progress for Golden Share's other properties and updates on the next phases of development will be provided shortly.

The work performed has been executed under the supervision of Mrs. Laurence Huss, M.Sc., P. Geo., and Golden Share's Vice-President Exploration.
