About Golden Sweet Potatoes

Founded in East Texas and family owned, Golden Sweet Potatoes represent one of the largest providers in the country. Sweet potatoes are one of America's most nutritionally complete foods. In fact, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has ranked the sweet potato as number one of ALL vegetables on its nutritional score card.

Statistics show that sweet potatoes are rich in Vitamins A, C, and Beta-Carotene -- antioxidants that can help prevent and/or can help fight cancer, heart disease, cataracts, and even aging. Sweet Potatoes are good sources of Vitamin B6, calcium, iron, potassium, and other trace minerals. They are high in dietary fiber and lysine, which is an essential protein building block.

A sweet potato is an excellent food for diabetics! It is rich in complex carbohydrates, thus, it causes a slower rise in blood sugar levels. One baked sweet potato (5x2 in.) equals approximately 161 calories. To learn more or purchase, please visit www.goldensweetpotatoes.com today.
