Gomez Trial Attorneys' John Gomez Spreads Holiday Joy

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 30, 2015) - Gomez Trial Attorneys, an acclaimed law firm based in San Diego and lead by Founder and President, John Gomez, generously supported three independent charities to bring Christmas joy to children and their families around the world. Beneficiaries of their contributions were "Adopt-A-Family", "Toys for Tots", and "Christmas to the Kids".

Known for his commitment to charitable causes, John Gomez selected local programs and international institutions that organized special projects for Christmas, and helped them achieve their goals. One of these projects was the holiday mission "Adopt-A-Family", initiated by San Diego-based foundation "Social Advocates for Youth" and geared toward community members that could not afford to buy gifts themselves. Gomez Trial Attorneys (GTA) adopted a family of five who had recently suffered financial difficulties and even lost their home. The employees at GTA came through with all requested gifts, which were carefully wrapped and dropped off, so the family could have a merry Christmas.

"Toys for Tots" was grateful for GTA's efforts in acting as a designated donation center to collect new, unwrapped toys, which were then distributed as Christmas gifts to underprivileged children. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, which started the program 20 years ago, was happy to receive three boxes filled with toys from Gomez Trial Attorneys.

For the third cause, "Christmas to the Kids," GTA sent their Director of Outreach, Leah Dawson, to Jamaica to bring hundreds of presents to children all over the Caribbean island. Together with a team of forty other volunteers, Leah helped host three different Christmas festivals, complete with face painting stations, bean bag and ring toss games, soccer and basketball areas, bracelet making, and much more. Over five hundred children received gifts, turning their Christmas in a truly joyful event. As part of her mission, Leah visited the kids at Tiny Hope Children's Home, a foundation that provides a safe place, love, and care for orphaned and abused children. Touched by the change Tiny Hope brings about, Gomez Trial Attorneys decided to partner with the organization and support it in their efforts of providing food, shelter, and education to children in need and to eventually create a self-sustaining place in Jamaica that acts as a much-needed lifeline for those children.

John Gomez, a Yale University Law School graduate and proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, founded Gomez Trial Attorneys in 2005 and quickly turned it into the country's most accomplished trial and serious injury law firm. GTA has received multiple accolades, including "Top Law Firm" by U.S. News and World Report as well as the countrywide titles of "Best Lawyers", "Super Lawyers", and "Lawyer of the Year" in fields of insurance and corporate litigation, products liability, personal injury and mass torts. The high-profile law firm is also a proud holder of a record number of nine separate "Outstanding Trial Lawyer" awards from the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. Outside of court, Gomez demonstrates a tremendous commitment to social causes for which the San Diego County Bar Association recognized him with its "Community Service" award in 2012.
