Goodman Marketing Partners Wins Davey Awards for Autodesk® and KCSM-TV Campaigns

SAN RAFAEL, CA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2007) - Goodman Marketing Partners (GMP), a full service direct marketing company in San Rafael, Calif., announced today it is a double silver award winner in the 2007 International Davey Awards that honor creative excellence in smaller agencies and companies worldwide.

One award was for the "Executive Sandbox" campaign that GMP created for Autodesk to help the company obtain sales appointments with C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies. Executive approval is essential for the consideration and purchase of Autodesk Buzzsaw®, the leading project management solution for the construction industry. GMP identified three vertical market segments as key opportunities: large homebuilders, expanding retailers and growing hospitality industry companies.

In addition to creating a custom list of top executives in these segments, GMP conceived, designed, produced and mailed a 3-dimensional package to bypass executive gatekeepers. It featured a desktop size, Zen-like garden complete with miniature construction equipment as the perfect metaphor to communicate how Autodesk Buzzsaw could turn the management of a complex construction project into "child's play." The direct marketing program exceeded objectives, securing a significant number of face-to-face meetings that ultimately turned into sales and a positive return on investment for Autodesk.

The other award was for a campaign that GMP developed for KCSM-TV of San Mateo, CA, and starred an amusing caricature of Steve, the station's program director, and his quest to obtain financial support from viewers. Steve lightheartedly poked fun at the big commercial networks and told a memorable story about how and why viewers should make a financial contribution to his independent TV station. Through postcards and letters that they received from Steve, viewers learned about his travels around the globe in search of programming options and how they could help.

The Davey is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.
