GoPollGo Brings Polls With Real-Time Analytics to Twitter

GoPollGo's Rich, Interactive User Interface Makes It Easy to "See What People Think" and Identify Trends Instantly Using Twitter; Company Receives Seed Funding From Idealab

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2011) - GoPollGo, Inc. (http://gopollgo.com), an online polling service, introduces a new, interactive experience for poll creators and voters by displaying analytics in real-time using Twitter. With one click, users can easily post a poll to Twitter allowing their followers to vote while gaining instant, quantitative feedback on their poll. Color-coded maps show geolocated results as they flow in from voters in real time and are combined with the ability to drill down on each location to see a more detailed breakdown of votes. Real-time notifications inform current users when others join the page and vote on a poll creating a fun, social atmosphere.

Anyone can create and vote on polls for free with no restrictions. GoPollGo caters to all types of users: individuals, small businesses and big brands. Individual users use GoPollGo to see what their friends are thinking while businesses can use GoPollGo to engage more with their followers.

Large companies are using GoPollGo as an important tool for gaining a timely insight into what their followers think. Where before it was unclear how to tap the potential of having tens of thousands to millions of followers on Twitter, GoPollGo has stepped in and provided a way to do quick, simple, mini-market research for massive followings.

"We were really impressed with how simple it was for us to quickly get feedback using GoPollGo," said Steven Fram, Co-Founder of Caring.com. "The reporting and analytics interface make it extremely simple for us to identify trends in our response data."

Since the release of the real-time version of the site, traffic has dramatically increased. Engagement of users on GoPollGo is strong: On average, registered users are taking 25 polls per session and users coming from Twitter typically spend eight minutes on the site.

GoPollGo recently closed seed funding from Pasadena-based Idealab, a creator and operator of technology businesses, and is joining Idealab's network of operating companies. The funding will help build a world-class development team to move the product forward more quickly. "We want to continue moving forward towards our goal of being the best polling and survey company out there," said founder and CEO Ben Schaechter.

"I am very excited about the potential of GoPollGo," said Bill Gross, Founder and CEO of Idealab. "I believe that the ability to interact and engage with others in this new era of social media is wildly enhanced by the power of GoPollGo."

About GoPollGo
GoPollGo was started by Ben Schaechter, who realized that the polling and survey market was ripe for improvement and innovation. After being frustrated with existing polling solutions at the time, Ben decided to create his own service to improve the arena. Within days of launching the initial prototype for GoPollGo.com, tens of thousands of people created thousands of polls. GoPollGo is located in Palo Alto, California and more information about the company can be found at http://gopollgo.com.
