Gordagen Pharmaceuticals Announces Brand Expansion in American Market

Company's High-Quality Nutraceuticals Coming to American Consumers

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwired - December 14, 2015) - Gordagen Pharmaceuticals, a company dedicated to developing high-quality nutraceuticals and prescription medicines based on natural tocotrienols (T3), announced it is expanding its brand presence in the American market.

To this end, the company is working with Nutritional Products International (NPI), a company dedicated to the global marketing and distribution of nutritional products. NPI will leverage its industry contacts to expand the market reach of Gordagen's products in the United States.

The company was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2012 by Dr. Glenn Tong and Dr. Michael Mathai, an Associate Professor of sports and nutrition physiology at the Victoria University in Australia. Its specific focus is targeting heart health, exercise endurance and muscle recovery after exercise. The natural therapeutic potential of T3 is at the core of Gordagen's products, which are set to debut soon in the United States.

"We are very eager to work with NPI to bring the Gordagen Pharmaceuticals brand to the United States," said Dr. Tong, the Managing Director and CEO of Gordagen Pharmaceuticals. "Our team has put a great deal of scientific research into these products to deliver the highest level of heart health benefits possible. We can't wait to debut them in the American market."

"We strongly believe in the products that Gordagen has developed, and are pleased to be partnering with them," said Mitch Gould, CEO of NPI. "We look forward to using our proven marketing and distribution processes to ensure Gordagen's success in this new market."

The benefits of T3 have been largely unexplored and unrecognized until recently because of the difficulty associated with finding sufficient amounts of alpha-, delta- and gamma-isomers of T3 and because of the variables and relatively poor absorption levels of T3 in the body. This poor absorption exists because the primary component of vitamin E, tocopherols, competes with T3s in the liver and because of the way digestion in the gut and metabolism in the liver occurs.

Gordagen's products make use of its proprietary melt-delivery MELT3™ technology, which has been shown in the Company's own clinical studies to have very good bioavailability. This solves the poor absorption problem and ensures adequate amounts of T3 are sent out to the targeted tissues throughout the body.

Gordagen's very first supplement product is nE1-Heart™ (anyone heart), which is geared toward people over 40 years old, or simply anyone interested in maintaining good heart and general cardiovascular health. Clinical and animal studies that have been published in scientific journals that demonstrate the dietary ingredients in the product, delta and gamma tocotrienols, promote the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in people who are already within the normal range.

"This is a product that has the backing of scientific studies and Gordagen's own Good Clinical Practice clinical studies have shown that it is safe, tolerable, has good bioavailability and is palatable and easy to use," said Dr. Tong.
