BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb. 27, 2015) - Gourmet Ocean Products Inc. ("Gourmet" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GOP) announces its financial and operating results for the three months ended December 31, 2014. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.

The Company reported sales of $1,800,314, for the three months ended December 31, 2014. This level of sales is the highest quarterly sales reported by the Company since its initial scallop seeds sales of $3,000,000 during the period ended December 31, 2013. Sales of sea cucumbers have increased from $448,810 for the period ending December 31, 2013 to $1,800,314 for the same period 2014.

Gross margin as a percentage of sales during the quarter was 18.5% which is reflective of sales of harvested sea cucumber. Sale of scallop seeds which was the primary source of sales in the three months ended December 31, 2013, bears very little costs and therefore has a significant higher margin.
