BC Coroners Service identifies victim of houseboat incident

KELOWNA - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a houseboat incident on Shuswap Lake by Nielson Beach near Sicamous on July 10, 2015.

She was Andrea Mary Jacura, aged 22, of Edmonton, Alberta.

Ms. Jacura had just entered the lake waters in the early afternoon of July 10, 2015, when she was caught by a houseboat propeller. She sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.

The Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.

Ms. Jacura's family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
