Government of Canada Grants $28,750 in Funding to E.M. Haute Precision Inc. for Productivity Enhancement

LA POCATIERE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 3, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm E.M. Haute Précision Inc. has been granted $28,750 in repayable funding to purchase equipment in order to improve its productivity.

"The Government of Canada is pleased to support the growth efforts of E.M. Haute Précision. The improvements this young enterprise has made will contribute to the economic diversification of the Kamouraska RCM," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 2008 by two young entrepreneurs, E.M. Haute Précision Inc. manufactures architectural mouldings and ornaments like rain gutters, fascias, starter mouldings and similar products out of pre-painted crude steel, enameled stainless steel, aluminium and copper for commercial, residential, agricultural and industrial markets. The acquisition of a plasma cutting centre, residue collection system and design software will allow the company to improve its existing products and expand into new product lines. With this new equipment, the enterprise will be in a better position to improve its competitiveness by offering greater flexibility and efficiency to a wider range of customers and industrial sectors.

This financial assistance has been granted through the Community Diversification program. Canada Economic Development sees the metal products and innovative materials sector as a development priority for the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
