Government of Canada Grants Funding to Club de Chasse et Peche Ste-Marie de Beauce Inc.

SAINTE-MARIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 6, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture), announces that Club de Chasse et Pêche Ste-Marie de Beauce Inc. has been granted financial assistance for the purchase of a new snow grooming machine.

This support has been awarded in the form of a $99,000 non-repayable financial contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • The acquisition of this higher-performance equipment will enable the organization to replace two outdated snow grooming machines.
  • Club de Chasse et Pêche Ste-Marie de Beauce is responsible for maintaining 243 kilometres of snowmobile trails in the regional county municipalities of Lotbinière, La Nouvelle-Beauce and Bellechasse.
  • Snowmobiling generates major economic spinoffs for the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
