Government of Canada Hails Inauguration of Club Nautique de New Richmond Reception Pavilion


NEW RICHMOND, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 4, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, welcomes the official opening of the newly-renovated reception pavilion at Club Nautique de New Richmond.

It will be recalled that $92,710 in non-repayable financial assistance was granted for this modernization project through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • The funding was used to expand and renovate the New Richmond boating club's reception pavilion. The building is now better adapted to the needs of yachters and the general public.

  • This work was carried out by local labour, thereby contributing to the growth of the New Richmond economy.
