Government of Canada Hails Inauguration of Community Infrastructure in Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage


SAINT-PATRICE-DE-BEAURIVAGE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 31, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today took part in the official opening of the municipality of Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage's newly renovated softball field and community facilities.

It will be recalled that the Government of Canada contributed $48,014 in non-repayable funding to this project through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • The project involved resurfacing the softball field, renovating and expanding the service building, replacing the bleachers and installing safety nets.

  • The population of Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage is now able to benefit from modern community facilities adapted to the needs of all users.
