RIVIÈRE-AU-RENARD, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 14, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions
The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, welcomes the official opening of the new facilities at Club nautique Forillon Inc. in Rivière-au-Renard.
Assistance was granted for this project in the form of a $166,350 non-repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.
- This funding served to purchase and install new floating docks, upgrade the water supply and electricity systems of these docks, modernize the laundry facilities and relocate a service hangar.
- These improvements were carried out using local labour, thus contributing to the growth of the Rivière-au-Renard economy.
"By supporting this project of Club nautique Forillon Inc., our government is helping improve the quality of life in our communities. I want to congratulate everyone who contributed, directly or indirectly, to making this project a reality."
Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec
