Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, today announced that Les Industries et Équipements Laliberté (IEL) Ltd has been granted financial assistance to boost its production capabilities and competitiveness.
This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $200,000 repayable contribution through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
- For more than 45 years, IEL has been sharing its know-how in the manufacture and distribution of farming and industrial equipment with a diverse clientele of agricultural producers, integrators and industrial contractors working in the transportation, energy and medical sectors and on foreign markets.
- The firm operates two sales divisions-agricultural and industrial-and specializes in the laser cutting, bending, mechanical welding and rolling of steel and aluminium.
- The financial assistance will enable the enterprise to purchase leading-edge equipment, including a fiber optic laser cutting machine.
