Government of Canada Supports Commercialization Efforts of Four Lanaudiere Enterprises as Well as Job Creation in the Region

LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 14, 2010) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, is pleased to announce that four Lanaudière manufacturing firms have been granted a total of $534,500 in repayable funding to commercialize their new products on international markets. 

Thus, Adrenaline Amusements Inc. has been awarded $150,000, VieNoble $100,000, Acier profilé S.B.B. Inc. $184,500 and NetAppsID Inc. $100,000 to pursue their efforts to that end. Adrenaline Amusements Inc. is seeking to bring a new arcade game to the United States, European and Middle East markets, while VieNoble is looking to commercialize its grapevine-derived cosmetic products on the U.S. west coast. Acier profilé S.B.B., for its part, hopes to introduce its Emergency Restoration System (ERS) modular towers to the African and American power transmission markets, and NetAppsID Inc. plans to market its integrated management software to French window and door manufacturers and retailers.

These projects will lead each of these Lanaudière small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to hire new staff. As such, Adrenaline Amusements hopes to bring in some 12 people between now and 2013, VieNoble expects to create as many as 15 full-time jobs by 2012, Acier profilé S.B.B. intends to hire six new workers over the next year and NetAppsID Inc. plans to create five high-quality, well-paying jobs in the fields of information technology and marketing by the year 2012.

These financial contributions have been awarded through the Business and Regional Growth program, an initiative aimed at helping enterprises improve their performance, become more competitive and engage in increased innovation in order to achieve sustainable growth
