The Government of Canada Supports Corporation du Centre Culturel de la Region de Riviere-du-Loup

RIVIERE-DU-LOUP, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 17, 2008) - Thanks to the support of the Government of Canada, the Corporation du Centre culturel de la region de Riviere-du-Loup will be able to implement its project "A Strategic Plan: A Vision for the Future!" This project will allow the organization to better define its mission, objectives, and potential audience to fully perform its role as presenter.

The Honourable Josee Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, today announced $6,132 in funding for the Corporation du Centre culturel de la region de Riviere-du-Loup.

"The Corporation du Centre culturel de la region de Riviere-du-Loup has consistently adopted sound strategies that have allowed it to successfully present its activities," said Minister Verner. "Year after year, it has managed to renew itself and offer diverse, cutting-edge cultural programming to a growing audience."

"We sincerely thank the Department of Canadian Heritage, including its regional managers, for their cooperation, dedication, and support, which make these projects possible," said Michel LeBel, Director of the Corporation du Centre culturel de la region de Riviere-du-Loup. "Thanks to them, those living in our region have access to rich and varied cultural programming."

The Government of Canada has provided this funding through the Canadian Arts and Heritage Sustainability Program of Canadian Heritage. This program supports modern management and greater financial stability in arts and heritage organizations.
