Government of Canada Supports Les Plastiques Abenaki in its Efforts to Improve Productivity

SAINTE-CLAIRE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 12, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, is pleased to announce that the firm Les Plastiques Abénaki Inc. has been granted financial assistance to improve its productivity and competitiveness.

The assistance was awarded in the form of a $180,000 repayable financial contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • This investment enabled the company to acquire new equipment and reinstall existing machinery in its new plant in Sainte-Claire's industrial park.
  • Founded in 1976, Les Plastiques Abénaki Inc. is an SME specializing in the extrusion of plastic and PVC products such as stakes, tubing for sugarbush operations, vacuum cleaner hoses, gutter mouldings, and so on.
