Government of Canada Welcomes Inauguration of Renovated Clubhouse at Dolbeau-Mistassini Golf Course


DOLBEAU-MISTASSINI, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 2, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, hails the official inauguration of the newly-renovated main clubhouse at Club de golf de Dolbeau-Mistassini. The 60 year-old golf club, located in the heart of the municipality, is one of the oldest courses in the Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean region.

Assistance for the project was granted in 2013 in the form of a $258,587 non-repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • This investment served to expand the main clubhouse and renovate its roof, floors and lighting. The building's ventilation, electrical and plumbing systems were also upgraded.
  • Users of the golf club are now able to enjoy access to improved facilities better adapted to their needs.
