Government of British Columbia: Memorial Service Announced For Fallen Paramedics

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 20, 2006) - The British Columbia Ambulance Service and the Ambulance Paramedics of BC announced plans today for an honours procession and memorial service to honour fallen paramedics Kim Weitzel and Shawn Currier who died in the line of duty on May 17, 2006.

The service is scheduled for Monday, May 29, 2006 at 2:00 pm Mountain Standard Time (MST) at the Civic Centre at 525 Archibald Street in Kimberley, British Columbia.

Emergency medical service and public safety agencies are requested to call the Ambulance Paramedics of British Columbia at 604-209-0170 or email davedeines@shaw.ca by Friday, May 26, 2006 to confirm the number of representatives planning to attend from their organization.
