Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Chris Alexander, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, participated in the unveiling of the new identity of the Corporation de soutien au développement technologique des PME, now renamed Innov & Export PME.
In 2013, the Corporation was granted, under Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program, $602,045 in non-repayable funding to cover part of its operating costs through to 2015.
- Innov & Export PME offers consulting and guidance services to manufacturing firms that carry out innovation, marketing and export activities.
- The organization now features a new export component, a major asset for economic activity in the region. Innov & Export PME is offering specialized export services to SMEs that are new to exporting or that have export potential.
- Thanks to the services of Innov & Export PME, firms in the Lower St. Lawrence region will be better equipped to develop new international markets and strengthen their innovation and marketing capabilities.
