Government of Canada Funds Tecnickrome Aeronautique Inc.

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Tecnickrome Aéronautique Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada for the acquisition of specialized equipment.

"The Government of Canada is proud to support innovative enterprises like Tecnickrome Aéronautique that are operating in such sectors of key importance to the Montréal economy as aeronautics," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 1986, Tecnickrome Aéronautique Inc. serves companies in the aeronautics industry by providing integrated metal treatment services for the manufacture of such things as aircraft landing gear. The new equipment will enable the enterprise to treat and plate metal surfaces using alternatives to chrome and cadmium. Adoption of this new process will allow the firm to expand its range of services to better meet customer needs and help sustain the supply chain of major contractors who favour doing business with integrated service suppliers. This project is a prime example of supply chain consolidation in the aeronautics sector that will benefit Montréal.
