Government of Canada Grants $95,900 in Funding to Usinage numerique H.B. Inc.

DOLBEAU-MISTASSINI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 23, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm Usinage numérique H.B. Inc. received $95,900 in repayable funding to acquire the digital manufacturing equipment needed to increase its production capacity and productivity.

"This is one more example of the Government of Canada's commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises that, like Usinage numérique H.B. Inc., are making efforts to become more competitive," said Minister Lebel.

Usinage numérique H.B. Inc. specializes in the mass production of various high-precision aluminium, ferrous metal and plastic parts for industry. The new equipment will help the enterprise keep up with the growing demand, step up its development of new products and expand into new markets.

As many of the company's customers are equipment manufacturers operating as subcontractors for major industry contractors, this project is expected to simplify the sector's supply chain and improve its efficiency.

This contribution has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Community Diversification program.
