Government of Canada Grants Financial Support to Averna Technologies Inc.


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Averna Technologies Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada for the foreign commercialization of its latest generation RF (radio frequency) test instruments.

"The Government of Canada is committed to supporting dynamic enterprises that, like Averna Technologies, are constantly innovating, expanding their markets and contributing to the growth of the economy," explains Minister Lebel.

Averna Technologies is a test engineering company that offers solutions to electronics device makers. The company operates in the telecommunications, aerospace and automotive industries, among others. By implementing its new commercialization strategy, which will target the United States, European, Asian and Mexican markets, the enterprise is hoping to bolster its sales. This strategy is among several measures put in place by Averna Technologies to become the world leader in test software and systems.

This $500,000 in repayable financial assistance has been granted through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program.
