Government of Canada Grants Financial Support to Ebenisterie Beaubois Ltd

SAINT-GEORGES, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 16, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism), today announced that Ébénisterie Beaubois Ltd has been granted financial assistance to improve its performance.

"To the Government of Canada, economic prosperity is achieved through investments like the one Ébénisterie Beaubois Ltd is making to raise its productivity," said Minister Bernier.

Specializing in high-end architectural millwork, Ébénisterie Beaubois Ltd has worked on many prestigious construction projects, including courthouses, hotels, casinos, hospitals and schools, among them the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) in Montréal and the famous Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

This financial assistance will serve to implement two phases of an action plan that will allow Ébénisterie Beaubois Ltd to improve its operating processes and more efficiently integrate all of its activities. This initiative is aimed at increasing the company's performance and further enhancing its already strong presence on the U.S. market.

"Our government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," concluded the Minister of State.

Information:

This assistance, granted in the form of a $300,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
