The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, took the opportunity of today's inauguration of the new facilities of Warwick Salt Inc. to underscore the importance of this project implemented to boost the company's performance.
A $1.1 million repayable financial contribution was granted in October 2012 through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
- This investment enabled Warwick Salt to purchase, install and programme new leading-edge equipment, including a continuous mixer-dispenser and automated bagging machines.
- Founded in 1983, Warwick Salt Inc. specializes in the processing, conditioning and distribution of calcium, salt and sand for such sectors of activity as dust control, de-icing, water treatment, food production and sandblasting.
