Government of Canada Hails Inauguration of Renovated Acton Vale Community Centre


ACTON VALE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 30, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today welcomed the inauguration of the newly renovated Acton Vale Community Centre.

The project benefited from $283,240 in funding in 2013, granted in the form of a non-repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • This investment was used to expand the existing building, repair the three roof levels, reconfigure the second floor, including acquiring and installing an elevator and enlarging a multipurpose room.
  • Acton Vale residents can now enjoy a community infrastructure more suited to their needs.
