The forest is a central part of economic activity in the Maria-Chapdelaine Regional County Municipality (RCM), which has been the seat of Dolbeau Oxygen's operations for more than 75 years. Since its founding, this dynamic equipment manufacturer has contributed to the diversification of the local economy through its innovative projects.

This assistance, granted in the form of a $700,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
