Government of Canada Lends Financial Support to Micro-brasserie Le Trou du Diable

SHAWINIGAN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 1, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Micro-brasserie Le Trou du Diable has been awarded financial assistance to acquire specialized equipment.

"This announcement is yet another example of the Government of Canada's commitment to helping enterprises that, like Micro-brasserie Le Trou du Diable, are making the necessary investments to pursue their growth," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 2005, Micro-brasserie Le Trou du Diable manufactures a wide variety of specialty beers, many of them international award-winners. To meet increasing demand for the microbrewery's distinctive products, management has undertaken an expansion project including the construction of a beer production plant.

The financial assistance from Canada Economic Development will go toward the acquisition of specialized equipment that will help boost the microbrewery's production capacity and therefore its ability to break into new markets, including Western Canada, the United States and possibly Europe.
