Government of Canada Lends Financial Support to Plasticase Inc.


TERREBONNE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 25, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Plasticase Inc. has been awarded financial assistance from the Government of Canada to acquire specialized equipment and bring new products to market.

"By lending its financial support to Plasticase Inc., the Government of Canada is once again acknowledging the fundamental role businesses play in creating jobs and growing the economy," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 1996, Plasticase Inc. is an innovative world-scale company that designs, develops and manufactures a variety of carrying cases for the military as well as major firms in the electronic, sampling and medical equipment sectors. The financial assistance from Canada Economic Development will enable the company to acquire the equipment needed to develop and manufacture a new line of innovative, robust, resistant and easy-to-use Nanuk cases. Plasticase's project also includes updating the company's Website and participation in specialized trade fairs.

Information:

This $300,000 in repayable funding has been awarded under Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program. According to the company's directors, this project will result in the creation of 10 new jobs by the year 2014.
