SHAWINIGAN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 6, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Synapse Électronique Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to acquire specialized equipment.
"This is yet another example of the Government of Canada's determination to support enterprises that, like Synapse Électronique Inc, are making the necessary investments to increase their productivity," noted Minister Lebel.
Founded in 2002, Synapse Électronique Inc. specializes in the design, manufacturing and assembly of home electronics, such as thermostats, with a focus on promoting comfort, health and well-being. Since its inception, Synapse has experienced steady growth. To maintain this momentum, its executives developed strategic planning to increase production capacity and step up research and development.
Canada Economic Development's financial assistance will allow Synapse Électronique Inc. to acquire equipment to test the quality of new, more efficient products and ensure their traceability.
This $247,653 in repayable funding has been awarded under Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
