Government of Canada Lends Financial Support to Temisko (1983) Inc.


NOTRE-DAME-DU-NORD, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 11, 2012) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière, today announced that the firm Temisko (1983) Inc. has been granted financial assistance to raise its productivity.

"The Government of Canada is giving another boost to job creation by providing concrete support to Temisko (1983) Inc., an enterprise that has taken its place in a cutting-edge sector and is now undertaking a major expansion plan," said Mr. Gourde.

Temisko (1983) Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of customized semi-trailers. Thanks to its engineering department, which has earned a solid reputation for its expertise in the field of transport vehicles, the company is able to satisfy the specific requirements of its customers. The financial assistance will enable the firm to acquire specialized equipment as part of a major plant expansion project and thereby optimize its production.

This financial support, granted in the form of a $1,177,459 repayable contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program.
