Government of Canada Supports Canada Day Events in Vaughan

Funding from the Celebrate Canada program helps make community event possible


VAUGHAN, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 15, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament (Vaughan), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced $6,500 in funding for the City of Vaughan.

This funding, provided through the Celebrate Canada program, will enable the City of Vaughan to offer Canada Day activities on July 1, 2015.

  • The Department of Canadian Heritage provides financial support for activities organized on specific days during the Celebrate Canada period from June 21 to July 1.
  • The Celebrate Canada period includes National Aboriginal Day on June 21, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24, Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27 and Canada Day on July 1.
