Government of Canada Supports Growth of Beton Multi Surfaces

SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 9, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, welcomes the official opening of the new Béton Multi Surfaces manufacturing plant.

The company has set up new facilities in the Chicoutimi borough thanks to $81,500 in repayable financial assistance granted through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • The 15-employee firm specializes in the manufacture of concrete products such as shower bases, yard furniture and countertops for distribution to building contractors, municipalities and retail outlets, among others.
  • The Béton Multi Surfaces project involved setting up a new workshop and showroom and acquiring manufacturing and computer equipment.
