Government of Canada Supports Growth of Cicame Energie Inc.

BOUCHERVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 13, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Cicame Energie Inc. has been awarded financial assistance for the acquisition of state-of-the-art production and laboratory equipment. According to the management of the innovative firm, this project will result in the creation of 30 new jobs, while also maintaining 20 permanent positions.

"This contribution to Cicame Energie Inc. demonstrates our firm commitment to supporting enterprises that are putting strategies in place and are thereby creating wealth and prosperity in their regions."

Cicame Energie Inc. designs and manufactures accessories, tools and connectors for electrical transmission lines. This present project will go toward the addition of a high-end insulated work glove manufacturing facility, making Cicame Energie one of few companies in the world to supply this accessory.


This $500,000 in repayable funding has been awarded under Canada Economic Development`s Business and Regional Growth program.
