Government of Canada Supports Growth of Les Batiments BUT Ltd

SAINTE-AGATHE-DES-MONTS, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 13, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Les Bâtiments BUT Ltd has been granted financial assistance to increase its productivity and thereby strengthen its competitive position in the fibreglass prefab technical buildings and custom parts sector.

"The Government of Canada is committed to helping Quebec's small and medium-sized enterprises develop in order to remain competitive and create jobs. That is why it is lending its support to Les Bâtiments BUT, a high-growth manufacturing firm," said Minister Lebel.

The enterprise is looking to acquire higher-performance equipment, including a plasma cutting table, a new paint room, a dust extractor, and an overhead travelling crane, which will generate productivity gains, reduce travel time and ensure good air quality for the well-being of its staff. These investments will enable Les Bâtiments BUT to develop new products in order to meet the needs of its growing clientele.

Les Bâtiments BUT specializes in the manufacture of fibreglass prefabricated shelters for telecommunications companies to protect their electronic equipment from bad weather. It currently has a staff of some 50 employees, and expects to hire a dozen more over the next three years.
