Government of Canada Supports Growth of Techno Metal Post Inc.

THETFORD MINES, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 12, 2014) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic-L'Érable and Minister of International Development and of La Francophonie, announces that the firm Techno Metal Post Inc. has been granted financial support to improve its productivity.

This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $262,500 repayable financial contribution through the Canadian Initiative for the Economic Diversification of Communities Reliant on Chrysotile.

Quick facts

  • Techno Metal Post Inc. will use this funding to acquire manufacturing equipment and reconfigure its factory.

  • Raising its productivity and manufacturing capacity will enable the enterprise, which has a network of 120 distributors in over eight countries, to consolidate its current market shares.

  • The Canadian Initiative for the Economic Diversification of Communities Reliant on Chrysotile aims to support projects linked with the economic diversification of the Des Appalaches and Des Sources RCMs that have the potential to create jobs in the short and long terms.
