Government of Canada Supports Labplas Inc.'s Expansion

SAINTE-JULIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 7, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Labplas Inc. is receiving funding that it will be able to use to carry out its project to automate its production.

The assistance announced today is being provided in the form of a $300,000 repayable contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

• The funding will enable Labplas to increase its productivity and production capacity by acquiring and modifying strategic equipment for automation.
• To maintain and raise its market share, Labplas has to implement its automation project so as to increase its production capacity and speed.
