Government of Canada Supports Outaouais Enterprises' Commercialization Efforts

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 6, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that two Outaouais firms have been awarded financial support to increase their commercialization activities.

This assistance is being provided in the form of two repayable contributions totalling $462,500 through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

• The two recipients of this financial assistance from the Government of Canada are Foko Inc. and DBx Geomatics Inc.
• The $300,000 contribution to Foko Inc. will enable this innovative company to start up, and will lead to development of the Canadian and U.S. markets.
• DBx Geomatics Inc. has been awarded $162,500 in financial assistance in order to increase commercialization activities for its new product, CartoVista5, in Canada, the United States and France.
