Governor of the Bank of England to Speak at Women's Executive Network Speaker Series, Dec 10th, London

Governor Expected to Talk About His Views on the Transformation of the British Financial Sector

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - December 09, 2015) - Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney will take to the Women's Executive Network's (WXN) podium this Thursday, 10 December, at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London.

It is expected he will speak about the reforms which will potentially transform the British financial system in the wake of the banking crisis.

"Governor Carney is one of the most globally networked members of the financial and economic world. He is Chairman of the Financial Stability Board, First Vice-Chair of the European Systemic Risk Board, a member of the Group of Thirty and a Foundation Member of the World Economic Forum. As a result, his perspectives on reform and regulation of the financial sector are incisive and informed," said Pamela Jeffery, Women's Executive Network founder.

She continued: "Governor Carney is well-known for his support of diversity in the workplace and his championing of women within his own organisation. We'd like to thank him for showing such fraternal, national support of an organisation from Canada."

Governor Carney will speak at the second of the WXN Speaker Series in London, following the Network's launch with a keynote address by Royal Mail CEO Moya Greene in October.
