Governor General to Present Military Decorations at the Citadelle in Quebec City

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 19, 2008) - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will present Military Valour Decorations and Meritorious Service Decorations (Military Division) to members of the Canadian Forces, at the Citadelle, the official residence of the Governor General in Quebec City, on June 27, 2008, at 2 p.m.

The Governor General will present 12 Military Valour Medals to members of the Canadian Forces who have displayed gallantry and devotion to duty in combat, as well as four Meritorious Service Crosses (Military Division) and 10 Meritorious Service Medals (Military Division) to members of the Canadian Forces whose specific achievements have brought honour to the Canadian Forces and to Canada.
