GovPartner Clients Houston, Lynwood and Abu Dhabi Showcased at ICMA 95th Annual Conference in Montreal

Municipal Executives Will Share Their Success Stories via In-Depth Case Studies Detailing Their Implementation of GovPartner Solutions

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA--(Marketwire - September 11, 2009) - GovPartner (, a leading government software firm, will be profiled at the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) 95th annual conference September 13-16, 2009 in Montréal, Canada.

On September 14th, GovPartner clients will present a Showcase Theater session: "New Generation Portal Technology: Worldwide Case Studies." Officials from the cities of Houston, Texas and Lynwood, California and from the Municipality of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates will share their advancements utilizing RequestPartner CRM and CommunityDevelopmentPartner software to launch state-of-the-art internal management tools with public portals managing everything from constituent requests to business licenses to development for multi-billion dollar construction projects.

Gabriela Dow, GovPartner Vice President, will moderate this session, sharing her experience on the ICMA 311/CRM Committee. Formed in 2008, this committee joined select industry leaders with municipal managers to assist with a national survey. For the committee's final report (viewable at Dow was asked to author the chapter on "Performance Measurement," which will be discussed via the presentations in Montréal.

On September 15th, a Special Session will be convened ("Managing Growth: How Online Technology Can Streamline City Development Processes") with officials from Abu Dhabi -- population 1.8 million but expected to reach 2.6 million -- describing their launch of the world's first permit portal to manage the entire development process via the web. Utilizing GovPartner software that has been fully localized for any language worldwide, Abu Dhabi processes 100% of development applications via the web, including electronic plans submission and review comments online.
