Grab Samples Returned Up to 8.7lbs/ton U3O8 From Charlebois Lake Uranium Project, Saskatchewan

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2007) - Hawk Uranium Inc. (TSX VENTURE:HUI) ("Hawk") is pleased to announce uranium results from a grab sampling programme in September, 2007. Samples had to be sent to SGS Lakefield Research Facility, Lakefield, Ontario for analysis due to high radioactive readings.

Five (5) out of eleven (11) samples returned greater than 2 lbs/t U3O8 from outcrops and subcrops throughout the project area. Samples were taken from old trenches, outcrops, subcrops, NQ size core and AX size core from collapsed core racks found on the property. A hand-held RSI Radiation Solutions Inc., RS -125 Super-Spec Scintillometer was passed over all the outcrops, subcrops and drill core and readings recorded before the samples were taken.

The Charlebois Lake Uranium Project consists of nine (9) Claim Blocks totalling 4254 hectares and is located in the Charlebois Lake Area , 35 miles E-NE of Stony Rapids, Northern Saskatchewan The area is known to have a number of Uranium showings and Hawk's Charlebois Lake Uranium Project contains 12 out of 18 known Uranium Showings in the area. Hawk controls approximately 16.5 km strike length of this known Uranium Mineralized trend within its blocks. The Uranium Mineralized strike length within Hawk's nine (9) claim blocks could be easily and conservatively projected to be in excess 26 km.

The Charlebois Lake Area is underlain by The Early Precambrian Tazin Group consisting of highly metamorphosed biotite bearing impure quartzite, schist, and hornblende gneisses, which have been intruded by granite and granite gneiss which now occupy 70% of the area. Subsequent tectonics resulted in the intrusion of mineralogically similar pegmatites which is best described as pegmatite granite in the area. Uranium mineralization is spatially and intricately related to the pegmatites.

The Charlebois Lake Uranium Project is structurally very complex and it is believed that the Uranium Mineralization was introduced simultaneously with the later stage pegmatite dykes emplacement that intruded preferentially along these complex fault/fracture systems. Lakes and rivers now occupy these complex fault-fracture systems and interruption in the "plumbing" within these fault-fracture zones will be the focus of the 2008 Exploration Programme. Where possible a hand-held RSI Solutions Inc., RS -125 Super Spec Scintillometer will be used - this unit is regarded as the most modern state of the art Spectrometer available on the market today.
