Grammy Award Winner Alanis Morissette to Perform U.S. and Canadian National Anthems at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 04, 2007) - Grammy award-winning recording artist and Ottawa native Alanis Morissette will perform the U.S. and Canadian national anthems at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final in Ottawa, Monday, June 4. NBC and CBC will air her performance live as part of the game telecast in the U.S. and Canada, respectively, starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. RDS also will provide coverage of the game throughout Canada.

Since emerging on the music scene in 1995, Morissette has become one of the premier singer-songwriters in contemporary music. Her international debut album, "Jagged Little Pill" became one of the most successful albums of all time. Her deeply expressive music and performances have earned critical praise, seven Grammy Awards and total album sales exceeding 40 million.

Morissette's contribution to the soundtracks for "Dogma," "City of Angels" and "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" have earned her two Golden Globes nominations. She has also made acting appearances in "Dogma," "Sex and the City" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," among others. Morissette is currently in the studio working on a new album.
