Grand Canyon University Introduces New Doctoral Programs, New Dean

Dr. Henry Radda Joins Faculty as University Adds Advanced Degrees in Business, Psychology

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - January 6, 2011) - Just in time for the 2011 spring semester, Grand Canyon University is offering two new advanced degrees and is bringing on a highly regarded leader to work in collaboration with the academic colleges to meet the needs and goals of the University's doctoral students.

Dr. Henry Radda joins GCU as Senior Vice President and Dean of the College of Doctoral Studies as the University adds a Doctor of Business Administration and Ph.D. in General Psychology, beginning in January 2011.

"Dr. Radda brings a rich history of developing strong doctoral programs with premier, doctoral-level faculty, bringing innovations in technology, collaboration and learning communities that are at the heart of a successful doctoral studies program," said GCU Provost Cheri St. Arnauld.

Radda comes to GCU from the School of Advanced Studies at the University of Phoenix, where he was responsible for launching and overseeing the doctoral programs, growing it to an enrollment of 7,000.

The new Doctor of Business Administration and Ph.D. in General Psychology join GCU's successful Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership in five different disciplines. GCU's doctoral programs are:

Doctor of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management
Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Cognition and Instruction
Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Organizational Development
Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Higher Education Leadership
Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Education and Effective Schools
Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Behavioral Health
Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Instructional Leadership
