Grand Power Appoints Dr. Gavin Chen to Head E-Commerce Division


HONG KONG, CHINA and CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 21, 2015) - Grand Power Logistics Group Inc. ("Grand Power" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GPW) is pleased to announce that, further to its press release of June 18, 2015 announcing the opening of a new branch office in the city of Fuzhou, Fujian Province to serve as its hub for online and E-Commerce shipping, the Company has recently appointed Dr. Gavin Chen to head up a newly formed subsidiary of Grand Power, Grand Power eTrade Limited.

Dr. Chen has a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Economics from Renmin University in Beijing and a Post Doctorial Philosophy degree in E-Commerce from Tianjin University. He is a Member of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Logistics Development Team. He is also a Senior Lecturer (PRC region) of the ILT (Institute of Logistics and Transport) and CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply). As well he is an Adjunct Professor at Tsinghua University, Logistics Engineering & Supply Chain Management. Dr. Chen has also held senior executive positions in a number of Hong Kong listed public companies.

In his role with Grand Power eTrade Limited, Dr. Chen will be the Managing Director, supervising and spearheading the Company's growth in developing its E-Commerce/E-trade initiatives. He will also assist with Grand Power's marketing, operations and strategic planning for its ocean freight business in the Chinese market.
