Grand Prairie Dental Office Participates in Community Halloween Event

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX--(Marketwired - December 28, 2015) - A Grand Prairie family dentist who offers Invisalign as an alternative to metal braces recently participated in the local YMCA trunk or treat program.

The local trunk or treat program is an annual event that invites local children and families to celebrate Halloween with costumes, games and decorating contests. This year's event included food, a costume contest, candy, face painting and a bounce house and obstacle course for kids.

"We loved participating in this event because it gives kids a safe place to enjoy Halloween," said Dr. Harita Kodali, who operates Carrier Family Dental. "We passed out candy and had a great time meeting all of the characters, goblins and ghouls who were hunting for treats."

Several staff members from Carrier Family Dental volunteered at the event, and the office won the Scariest Trunk Award. The office decorated the trunk as a scary black cat.

Dr. Kodali said her office takes pride in participating in community events and was happy to see many of her patients outside of the office.

"Along with passing out treats, we were able to connect with children and patients outside of the office to show them that there is nothing scary about the dentist office," Dr. Kodali said.

Carrier Family Dental provides general dentistry and comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Individual services include sedation dentistry, Invisalign, porcelain veneers, crowns and full and partial dentures. Dr. Kodali uses mini dental implants to stabilize dentures. Implants not only stabilize oral appliances but also help preserve a patient's jawbone.

Carrier Family Dental – 355 E. Westchester Pkwy., Ste. 200 – works diligently to ensure that all patients are comfortable during their treatment. To help fearful patients, Dr. Kodali offers a variety of sedation options, including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and IV sedation. IV sedation can benefit patients with a debilitating fear of the dentist or those who need multiple treatments in one sitting.

Dr. Kodali graduated with honors from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry in 2007. After graduating, Dr. Kodali worked in private practice for four years and then worked with special needs patients at the Texas State Supported Living Center in Denton. She began her own practice in March 2014, but she still continues to work with the Texas State Supported Living Center.

Dr. Kodali was named one of America's Top Dentists in 2014 by the Consumers Research Council of America.

To ensure that all patients are getting the care they need, Dr. Kodali offers free second opinions at her Dallas-area dental office. To learn more about Dr. Kodali's Grand Prairie cosmetic dentistry, visit her website at or call 972-619-9108.
