Grande West Names Jean-Marc Landry Vice President, Business Development

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 20, 2013) - Grande West Transportation Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BUS) ("Grande West" or the "Company") announced today the appointment of Mr. Jean-Marc Landry as its new Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Landry joins Grande West following his most recent position as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing - Americas, for Cubic Transportation. He played a key role in driving diversification and geographic expansion efforts for the San Diego, California based company.

Prior to his role with Cubic, Mr. Landry spent over eight years at Nova Bus, a division of Volvo Bus Corporation where he held the position of Vice President of Sales for North America. He was instrumental in the growth and success of Nova Bus, a leading heavy-duty bus manufacturer with plants in Canada and the USA.

Mr. Landry has over 20 years of hands on experience in management and business development, primarily focused on the public transit industry. He has successfully developed sales and marketing strategies and has a track record for securing long term contracts, reaching annual sales objectives and leading corporations through geographic expansions.

Mr. Landry has been granted 350,000 options of Grande West that will be exercisable at $0.50 subject to TSX:V approval.

Grande West Transportation Inc. (Grande West) was formed in 2008 to design and develop a 27.5 foot bus, known as the "Vicinity", in response to a Request for Information ("RFI") by BC Transit, a crown agency of the Province of British Columbia.

The Vicinity bus is a Canadian designed, community shuttle bus transportation innovation that was conceived to meet the demand for a greener compact bus than what was currently available in North America.

The Grande West team worked closely with BC Transit to create a unique and innovative transportation solution that met their specific requirements but are applicable to transit authorities across North America.

The first Vicinity bus prototype was delivered in February 2010 as part of a beta-testing program. The Vicinity bus debuted appropriately in its first trial during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Initial trials and evaluations of the Vicinity bus were completed for 21 months during the Vicinity bus' tour of B.C. being tested in a variety of climate conditions and terrain. The Vicinity bus has received certification by the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard ("CMVSS"), Transport Canada, and the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation.

Initial deliveries of 15 Vicinity bus occurred in August 2013 to BC Transit. Sales efforts across Canada have resulted in orders being received and production commenced for 10 Vicinity buses for Quebec and for 3 Vicinity buses for a Nova Scotia transit authority.
